The “Toon Link” games represent a story that is more lighthearted, maybe being told to children. Some people tell the story with a very serious tone, represented in the games with more realistic graphics. People who live in a wooded area are more likely to tell a story of a hero who grew up in the woods. People who live near the ocean are more likely to tell a story of a hero who sailed the Great Sea. Then, all of the people who their story tell the stories to other people in their own way, and after generations, you end up with many distinct stories. Over the course of a lifetime, they might tell the stories hundreds of times, and as they change as a person, they’re storytelling changes. For newer users it can come off as pretentious, but that is not the goal. It was a common naming pattern in the older years of reddit for a place focused on discussion (rather than memes, art, and merchandise). Discuss gameplay, story, tips, post the latest news, and anything else related to Zelda! It's where any kind of self-post that helps generate more in-depth discussion goes. The goal of this community is to provide a place for informative and interesting Zelda related content and discussions without all the extra fluff (images, video, fan art) from /r/Zelda.
